Dea Benson serves as senior vice president, chief accounting officer and controller for Realogy Corporation. Benson oversees all corporate accounting and reporting functions, as well as shared services, treasury operations, corporate tax and risk management departments.

 

Before joining Realogy in February 2008, Benson served as chief accounting officer of Genius Products, Inc., the managing member and minority owner of Genius Products, LLC, an independent home entertainment distributor. Prior to her position at Genius Products, from 1995 through 2006, Benson held various positions of increasing responsibility with DreamWorks SKG/Paramount Pictures, including four years as controller of DreamWorks SKG,  After Paramount’s acquisition of DreamWorks SKG in 2005, she held the role of divisional CFO of the Worldwide Home Entertainment division of Paramount Pictures which had over $2.5 billion in annual sales and operations in 11 countries outside the United States.

 

Benson began her career with a Big Six accounting firm, and gained additional financial accounting experience with several other diversified entertainment companies before joining the core management team that launched DreamWorks. She is a certified public accountant and is a graduate of the University of Houston.
